NTL Team Prize Distribution Verbiage & picture/video instructions for Host

Quick checklist

• 🧼Clean the camera lens with a soft cloth or shirt.
• 📱Turn the phone upright (vertical) for most of the photos and videos. Horizontal is good for large teams and also welcomed.
• 🤳You can take the pictures/video, or have someone else film for you.
• Have the teams excited in the pictures/video.
• 💡Have the team face toward windows or the brightest part of the room. Overhead lights are good too.
• ☀️Make sure faces are brighter than the background (no bright windows or lights behind people).
• 👥Have the teams stand next to Challenge Entertainment posters, or if sitting have the scoresheets and/or table tents visible.
• 🏆Make sure the teams hold the Winner Certificates and/or the prizes in the pictures and video.
• 📷Take several photos and short 10–20 second video clips for each winning team.
• 🔍CHECK THE PICTURES taken prior to dismissing the teams (is lighting good, is it focused and not blurry, does it convey a good story).

What To Say when Presenting the Prize to The Team

• Over the mic – Explain what the National Trivia League is.
• One of the teams here tonight won one of the prizes from our [Q1/Q2/Q3/Q4/Annual] NTL competition.
• Call the team out! Have everyone excited for them. Celebrate with them.
• On behalf of Challenge Entertainment, you have won [say the place they won in] in the [say the category in which they won]! Congratulations, here is your [say prize amount] gift certificate to [say venue name].
• Now is the time to get other teams interested in joining our NTL. Let all know they too can be winners just like this team. Not only by playing our weekly Live Trivia games, but also by joining our NTL. Scan the QR Code on your scoresheet and sign up for free.

What NOT to do:

• Do not have teams hold up any fingers showing what rank they came in (2 fingers for 2nd place, etc.) IN ALL of the pictures and video. Please take some without their fingers up.
• Do not have teams stand behind light or a sunny window. The photographer should have the light to their back.
• Do not pinch zoom with your fingers to get a closer shot. That can make the picture/video grainy. Instead, move closer to the team.
• Do not forget to have some kind of CE product placement within the photos/videos (posters, table tents, scoresheets, prize certificates).
• Do not forget to check the photos before dismissing the teams.
• Do not forget to upload the photos and videos you took.
